The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it is actually alarmed regarding the substantial quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The support point made for intervention encounters a superior influx of prospective beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to enable the servicing of all clients and boost usage of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
